We’re all stuck in our homes anyway, so we might as well make the best of it! Here are five home improvements you can make that will increase your homes value. After all, summer is the best season for selling!

er is the best season for selling!

1. Enhance Curb Appeal

When viewing homes, the first thing people see is the outside of the home. First impressions count! The home should look inviting, aesthetic, and well, like home. Appearance can definitely be a contributing factor in sales price. Enhance your curb appeal with simple landscaping, a nice walkway, and a fresh coat of paint on the door!

2. Update the Bathrooms and Kitchen

If your home has out of date appliances, then updating them is likely to be a good investment. Most buyers are attracted to homes with more up to date finishes!

Cabinets can always be re-finished to cut costs and new countertops and appliances go a long way. It may be time to nix those white appliances and replace them with nice stainless steel or black ones.

3. Increase Storage

Having the space to store things is very important when buying a home. You never realize how much stuff you have until you don’t have anywhere to put it! Providing that extra storage space is a major perk and adds value to your home.

4. Fix Any Major Problems

You can pretty much bank on buyers asking you to fix bigger issues such as the roof, A/C, or water heaters if they are in need of repair. You might as well fix/replace them before you sell to help increase your value and minimize any headaches! I mean...who wants to move into a home in need of thousands of dollars in repairs?

5. Paint the Interior

Use neutral colors when repainting your interior! Bright colors are great for some, but the majority of people are more attracted to neutrals. Instead use easily exchanged items, like decor, to bring color to a room.
