Ideas to Improve Your Outdoor Space
Ideas to Improve your Outdoor Space
Home is where our families are and where our memories are made - all of the daily mundane memories that create a childhood, a family, a lifetime. As our time at home increases with working from home and living at home, more and more of an emphasis is being placed on the lifestyle that our homes give us. How can we create a home we don’t need a vacation from?
Some of those ideas involve improving your outdoor space so that you can enjoy the outdoors all year round – creating an escape in your own backyard.
Covered Patio – a large covered patio that provides shade and cover from the elements and allows for gatherings, conversation and maybe even a college football game or outdoor movie can provide a great escape and a lot of bang for your buck.
Sunroom – this idea has more expense than your covered patio, but it definitely is something you can use year round.
Fire Pit – You don’t need to go camping to make s’mores. If you create a large fire pit in your backyard you can create s’mores and memories with your kids any night of the week.
Shed – A lot of people need more storage and a storage shed in your backyard gives you extra storage without taking any space from your home.
She-Shed – Do you want to take your shed up a notch? You can create a She-Shed, an office, a hang out space or even a guest home out of a converted shed in your backyard.
Landscaping – Adding nice custom landscape to your outdoor space is a very inexpensive way to improve it or add it to any of the ideas to really make a difference.
Outdoor Kitchen – If you spend a lot of time outside, this idea might be worth it to you!
Hot Tub – don’t want to spend the money on a pool, but want some added relaxation to your outdoor oasis? Adding a hot tub or stand a lone spa is a great way to achieve that.
Pool – If you want to go all out and complete your escape from reality in your very own backyard, do the pool. It is a big expense, but you and your family can enjoy it for years to come. Especially in the hot Texas Summers.
