Tricks & Treats: Halloween in Your Town
Tricks & Treats: Halloween in Your Town
With Halloween just days away, it's not too late to find some Fall fun - and maybe some treats - in your town! A lot of towns have a main street or downtown fall festival or even Trick or Treating. Almost every town has a small pumpkin patch for photo ops and even bigger and better options just a short drive away. October may almost be over but there is still time to experience Fall and celebrate Halloween! Whether you are young or older, single or married, a family or a group of friends, there are a lot of easy and fun activities you can do to finish out this month!
Here are just a few ideas:
- Go to a pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin and take photos
- Carve or paint a pumpkin
- Go on a hayride
- Make apple cider or follow us @modernrootsrealtygroup for a great Mulled Wine Recipe!
- Make candy apples
- Watch a scary movie - the new Halloween movie just came out! if you’re brave have a scary movie marathon. If you’re really brave watch it outside – support a local Drive in like Doc's Drive In!
- Roast marshmallows
- Go on a hike
- Bake a pie
- Donate to a local Food Bank
- Decorate for Fall – as if you haven’t already!
- Get a Costume and Go Trick or Treat – you are never too old for candy!
We love our local community and were able to participate in some of the activities that were held throughout the month and look forward to what is to come!
Downtown Kyle held its Center Street Trick or Treat to a great turnout of vendors and participants. Honey Hat Company sponsored a super fun Fall Bar Crawl with several of our local restaurants and bars, including MudBugs, Nate’s and Wille’s Joint. There was a big prize for the Costume Contest and it made for some great people watching and inspired us to level up for next year! Several of Buda’s boutiques, including Ellipsis, Mercantile Buda Mill & Grain and Buda's Red Door, held a Boo-Tique Crawl for a night of shopping this week.
Downtown Buda will be hosting a Movie in the Park on the Saturday before Halloween. We can’t imagine Halloween without watching “Hocus Pocus.” So, if you haven’t watched it yet, now is your chance!
The Austin area has so many activities and opportunities to experience Fall, from Marble Falls to Creedmoor to New Braunfels. Be sure to get out this week, enjoy the cold front and celebrate October before it’s over!
Happy Halloween!
